BEMAC & Brisbane International Jazz Festival presents Momentum & The Toby Wren Trio
As part of the 2017 Brisbane International Jazz Festival, BEMAC and BIJF are bringing a melting pot of diverse musical cultures to the QMC on Thursday 1 June, with a double bill featuring Estonian jazz ensemble Peedu Kass Momentum and The Toby Wren Trio
Comprised of the brilliant Kristjan Randalu, ambassador of Estonian jazz in the Western Hemisphere, Toomas Rull, who is considered the keystone of Estonian jazz drumming, and led by the prolific bassist and dashing stage performer Peedu Kass, Momentum’s adventurous rhythm and sparkling virtuosity has enraptured audiences around the globe.
The Toby Wren Trio, with their suppleness of melodic invention, ranging from intricate and introspective to unbridled and uncompromising, are national treasures for contemporary Australian jazz.
Tickets to this exceptional evening of contemporary jazz are $30 full price, $23 concession and $15 for students under the age of 25.
