BEMAC presents GET PREP’D: Get Training
Covering topics such as Facilitator Techniques, Working with Diverse Communities and Engaging Youth, our third free workshop in the Get Prep’d Artist Development Program is designed to upskill artists in the area of arts facilitation.
The skills and insights garnered in GET TRAINING will enable artists to confidently explore additional revenue building options in the form of arts facilitation. The workshop will have a strong focus on working with youth and diverse communities and will be facilitated by Sarah Roberts.
Sarah Roberts has over 25 years experience as a counsellor, teacher and community worker specialising in working with young people and communities. She has worked across a range of sectors including community arts, health promotion, homelessness, alcohol and other drugs, youth housing and child protection. She taught at TAFE Qld and other RTOS for over 10 years. She is a private consultant and currently runs a service called “the Empty Cradle” which supports women who have lost the opportunity for motherhood.
