The Himalayan Film Festival will give audiences a deeper understanding of the unique heritage, culture and issues confronting the region whilst exploring the majestic beauty of the Himalayas and the spirit of its people. In its third year, the festival will showcase a diverse list of films which explore themes of compassion, pilgrimage, occupation, love, peace, migration, environmental justice and human rights.
This year, BEMAC is thrilled to partner with The Himalayan Film Festival to co-present World Music Café in an evening of inspiring short films and a concert with the ever popular, Tibet2Timbuk2. To purchase the package, please click here.
Rollicking Tibetan folk, afro-reggae guitar grooves and intricate Indian tabla….Sounds as if they were made for each other! Together, Tenzin Choegyal, Marcello Milani and Shen Flindell create a new joyful sound that transcends cultural boundaries.
Winners of the Short Film Competition of the Tibetan Film Festival in Dharamsala, India will be screened before the concert. Be inspired with The Half Bread, Sipen, The Sweet Hunger and Momo.
Sit back and take yourself to the beauty and magic of the Himalayas.
