BEMAC & Utopia Entertainment Presents KPOP-CULTURE
On 12 May BEMAC is presenting the exclusive Australian performance of one of K-POP’s rising stars.
Crystal Yi (USA), otherwise known as Lee Soo Jung, stunned SBS Kpop Star Series 5 judges and audiences, becoming the one of the only contestants in the history of the premier Korean K-POP competition to receive the maximum 300 points from all judges, and for one night only Brisbane fans will have the opportunity to see her live in the intimate setting of Queensland Multicultural Centre (QMC) in Kangaroo Point.
To celebrate Crystal Yi’s debut live performance in Australia, BEMAC has partnered with Utopia Entertainment to present an Asian pop culture event unlike any we have delivered before: World Music Café: KPOP-CULTURE.
Live performances, dance competitions, pop-up stores, K-beauty style demonstrations and a live set by the dynamic Crystal Yi, who will be accompanied by local musicians will all be on offer when Asian Pop Culture takes centre stage at QMC on Friday, 12 May, from 4.30pm to 10pm.
Supported by local performance group KATU, comprised mostly of second generation Korean-Australians, audiences can expect to be blown away by their delivery of favourite K-POP covers and original compositions.
Paradise Crew is one of Brisbane’s leading J-POP and K-POP dance groups and they’ll be bringing their amazing choreography, outfits and dance moves to the party too.
Recently opened THEFACESHOP and talk of the K-beauty town will have a pop-up shop at the event, along with products available for purchase, they will be doing make-up demonstrations.
Tickets are on sale now from EVENTBRITE at $19.90 for concession and $25 full price.
