CREATIVE FUSIONS Summer Music School
BEMAC is thrilled to once again have partnered with ground-breaking music and arts organisation Sounds Across Oceans to deliver another unique Summer School expeience – CREATIVE FUSIONS 2018.
Open to musicians from 10 to 110 years, CREATIVE FUSIONS 2018 offers participants an inspiring music-making week-long summer program that focuses on fusing diverse musical styles, storytelling and dance in an exploration of music-making.
Sounds Across Oceans (SAO) is a unique music and arts organisation, established by composer/educator/performer, Dr. Anthony Garcia, to explore and promote a more holistic vision of music and its role in society. Through innovative education programs, workshops, presentations and performances that focus on collaboration, improvisation and experimentation, SAO builds bridges between genres, cultures and communities.
The Summer School brings together young aspiring musicians, world music specialists, innovative jazz and classical musicians with musical forms and sounds from across the globe to create new music. The program will culminate in a special performance, showcasing original ideas and compositions developed throughout the learning journey, giving participants the opportunity to perform to family, friends and new audiences.
Whether you play an instrument in your garage band, are just starting on your musical journey, or are a seasoned jazz singer, or would like to learn a new skill, CREATIVE FUSIONS 2018 is the ideal way to experiment and collaborate in a creative and supportive space.
All instruments, styles and experience levels are welcome.
